Boundaries Aren't Cold and Unforgiving

Boundaries Aren't Cold and Unforgiving

Grant Forgiveness, Deny Access When Necessary: Dignity

"Your dignity can be mocked, abused, compromised, toyed with, lowered and even badmouthed, but it can never be taken from you. You have the power today to reset your boundaries, restore your image, start fresh with renewed values and rebuild what has happened to you in the past." - Shannon L. Alder

"Boundaries aren't about being in protection mode. Boundaries are about what you have within that is so valuable that you will not allow certain people to come near it or hurt it or whatever. Boundaries stem from self-worth." - Najwa Zebian

"People who repeatedly attack your confidence and self-esteem are quite aware of your potential, even if you are not." - Wayne Gerard Trotman

Proverbs 14:30: "A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones."

Job 5:12-27: "He disappointeth the devices of the crafty..."

Forgiveness is for you:

  • Not for them.

  • You don’t need an apology.

  • Not re-instating trust.

  • Not reconciliation.

  • Simply not repaying harm with harm, doesn't mean being a fool.

  • Let go of the pain, not the lessons.

Trust your instincts. Boundaries are healthy, not cold.

Humanity means reasonable autonomy.

You do not owe anyone needless vulnerability, some weaponize it.

Your innate rights and boundaries are never contingent on how someone else is. Dignified ways exist.

Grace is not invasive.

Compassion can be from a distance.

Don't be naive.

Guard your heart.

Overcompensating is not it.

Personable, not needlessly personal. Trust is earned.

Magnetize those who respect balance.

In business, personal liking is optional, but guarding wellness is the tenet to humanity.

No more destiny thieves.

Artificial impediments rebound.

Here's to being strong enough to say, "I won't ever deal with that again."
