Virtual Nutrition Coach/Virtual Personal Trainer - remote-based - Canada/US

Virtual Nutrition Coach/Virtual Personal Trainer - remote-based - Canada/US

I can't work 1:1 myself, but someone else can take this over, I manage the marketing/backend/ads/acquisition.

I am also open to programming that is done as a course that we build together to scale... Back to the main program...

Pay structure:

Preset profit-sharing for each program sold (not individual sessions/not random one-off consultations which not only are not sustainable business-wise: they don't solve any real issue, but comprehensive programs: you keep 45%, I keep 55%.

The program tools / calculators / knowledge base / materials / marketing = done for you in advance (minor tweaking for customizations / tailoring it to the biochemistry of each client so there is a base but customization is needed)...

I will play a major part in marketing and client acquisition, up to the point of the discovery calls - which would be handled by you.

✨The profit share structure can increase based on the amount of work required. So it's at least 45% or more.✨

Payment is collected in full before any work can begin (or monthly for longer term programs) - you'd be paid by e-transfer / PayPal and manage your own taxes.

Contract structure:

Independent contractor (who has both a nutrition and fitness certification - both preferred) with their own professional liability insurance coverage operating under Self-Love and Fitness, not an employee - the contract will be drafted upon selection and after an initial Zoom call to go over details.

This is not a full-time job, this should run alongside your existing practice (we don't care for non-competes, but just keep your own practice's clients in separate lanes).

This can be done evenings / weekends / figure out your own hours - it's mostly a program with pre-scheduled calls (not sessions for instruction or working out with the client like a gym buddy, we're teaching them strategy and how to fly solo).

If you don't have a nutrition certification, that's fine, I'd handle the nutrition part in the background after you gather the necessary client data for it. You'd be taught how to coach for that as we go.

Client level/target:

To be discussed, depends on your preferences and the market needs... But it is 100% online so we remain scalable - we sell the plans/strategy so they can later fly solo unlike the commercial gym session-sharks who keep people dependent for life.

You decide the area of focus you prefer, as long as you keep it remote as we are not doing random in-person sessions in-between managing this remotely as there are both pricing and insurance considerations (the structure is not customized - it is remote 100% of the time, but the content of the program is - just like gyms charge full-price whether you use amenities or not, it's a business not a zoo):

Getting back on track

Major fat loss

Competition training

Marathon prep

Toning up

Muscle gain

Whatever else you want (if you're a holistic nutritionist, then addressing physical ailments via nutrition to an extent may work)

No sessions:

Why programs and not traditional exercise or nutrition instruction sessions?

Sessions are limited to the session itself and they don't have an end-game, so that's why they're cheaper than programs. You get what you pay for.

We offer results-based programs that deliver greater long-term impact.

Sessions are operationally taxing and administratively heavy with no major impact justifying this kind of expenditure.

Discovery calls:

The candidate must be willing to take on discovery 20 minute calls to assess client fit (is it something we can even solve or is it an ED or anything that requires external referrals, etc).

A discovery call is to determine mutual fit, the problem we solve is one that we're paid to solve once hired in-depth...

Non-exhaustive example of how we could structure things (theme can change based on your strengths):

1. 3 months option: (price to be discussed - can be renewed)

• Initial intake call for nutrition assessment (and fitness assessment if applicable) - 45 minutes.

• Custom fitness program OR chosen from our existing menu (price varies depending on choice).

• Client is encouraged obtain laboratory blood work through their medical office or a walk-in clinic (eventually or during the program) to check for nutrient deficiencies - nutrition guidance should be mindful of existing deficiencies not to necessarily cure them - but to be ultra-tailored... we will explain how this is a factor in recommending supplements throughout the program.

• Curated macronutrient ranges, calorie ranges based on goals, meal planning guidance - not prescriptive meal plans - portion control guidance if client does not want to deal with calories based on muscle gain/fat loss (based on “if it fits your macros” flexible dieting - including competitive athletes where the ranges are just tailored more leading to a sports event).

• 1 x 60 - 75 minute Zoom or phone check-in once every 2 weeks to discuss nutrition (use Calendly or any other booking system of your choice) - can discuss fitness if needed, but existing online program from goal-driven workout collection should cover most of it if their focus is on nutrition.

• E-mail access to coach in-between check-ins.

• Additional calls $150 / hourly.

2. 6 months option: (price to be discussed - can be renewable)

• 1 x 60-75 minute Zoom or phone check-in per week to discuss nutrition (use Calendly or any other booking system of your choice) - can discuss fitness if needed, but existing online program from goal-driven workout collection should cover most of it if their focus is on nutrition.

• Additional calls $150 / hourly.

3. No-Commitment/One-Time Game Plan Strategy Mini-Program (Like a Consultation with Take-Aways):

• E-mail your goals/issues/pain points to info@selfloveandfitness.com, if it is a fit, we do not conduct a discovery call, we move straight to the assessment questionnaire and book the consultation (we can tell by the assessment what needs to happen, so we are streamlining the steps).

• Fitness and nutrition consultation on a weeknight evening EST (60-75 minutes).

• A 5-week fitness plan from our existing collection (not custom for mini-program).

• Take-away macronutrient ranges / written nutritional guidance that is personalized for you to keep.

• E-mail access to a coach for the 5 week workout plan duration.

• This service may be renewable based on capacity limits.

• Goals can include diet change, learning macronutrient counting, accountability, toning up, muscle gain, fat loss, and so on.

4. Other categories of possible programs:

• If there is a demand for major fat loss, it would be a monthly fee with a 6-month commitment with access to online plans / macro programming and email-based support in-between Zoom calls.

• If there is a demand for just fitness / just nutrition on a monthly subscription basis ... that could work, nothing is set in stone, as long as the yield is logical and makes sense for the client and practitioner.

• Group coaching for those with similar goals is fine too and I have platform ideas, but that's on you 100%, I am not running anything except the backend.

• Facilitating workshops/challenges for non-public-sector clients.

• Membership sites for corporate clients.

• Co-creating books/courses.

The ROI of our programs (based on client goals):

  • Maintain or increase your muscle mass.
  • Lose fat without losing muscle (body recomposition).
  • Achieve athletically motivated fat loss goals.
  • Learn flexible dieting and nutrition strategies (no cutting out entire food groups unless you want to).
  • Increase your overall athletic performance.
  • Toning and muscle definition.
  • Major fat loss.

Details of how we assess things:

PAR-Q and nutrition screening with a side of medical history.

No point offering anyone guidance if it's not detailed and so this will combine medical history/allergies and closely resemble PAR-Q.

It can be very dangerous to provide advice that has not been screened against their existing medical conditions if any.

What the nutrition part of this is not:

We do not offer meal plans as they're outside of our scope of practice, and cause operational nightmares without offering anyone real value.

Even for competitors, macronutrient ranges / meal examples are usually sufficient.

Teaching people how to build their own meals is so much more valuable than just giving them a prescription of what to eat.

Meal ideas within macro ranges are totally fine though (even macro ranges broken down per day are fine).

The nutrition consulting is about problem-solving principles, not prescriptive anything (prescriptive supplements are fine to an extent, but you get me).

The right mutual fit:

Self-driven:

The contractor must be okay with working independently and using email as the primary method of contact for questions once the initial training materials have been shared / initial Zoom touch-base.

This is only a segment of the business I manage and I may not be able to have as much face-time as I would like with everyone who helps with projects - maybe a check-in with me over Zoom once a month - so I am upfront about this (I need someone who is confident to make decisions on their own within pre-existing principles and confident communicating with clients).

In other words, you have the initiative to DIY on problem-solving, but I do have your back if you're stuck or do not know how to do something. There are so many different ways to get to the end goal that I would rather you try some thing and have a good reason for it than not try at all.

I rather you get a thorough response from me with mental presence (and bandwidth) - so email interim to touching base over Zoom when needed. :)

Contractor will get access to an online knowledge database on top of pre-existing program materials that cover many different situations, but will still require your intuitive ability to adapt and tailor to each client.

Google is as good for non-tailored programs so this brand is based around customization/intuition/care for unique needs.

I am there if there are serious problems, otherwise, run it as you please within reason.

That said...

You will always be provided with the macro formulas prior to be expected to randomly take on a new modality on the fly (pointless chaos isn't my vibe).

(We don't do things on the fly and expect perfection, that would be twisted and a little delusional).

It's going to be a very organized experience, I can promise you that. The only aspect we may see chaos from is the unknown volume, but processes will be built ahead. Clear process are still adaptable, yet save mental energy for actual problems (you won't have to worry about lacking structure and unclear scopes).

In order for you to have flexible hours, you should be able to plan your workload and you will be able to. I will be very much out of it unless you explicitly ask me to be involved.

You'll have the freedom to ask clarifying questions without fear of judgment though for sure, and while you are an expert - there will still be questions!

For branding reasons:

Candidate must absolutely not belong to an MLM (multi-level marketing aka scam-e-rific fakeness like Modere, skinny teas, detox pills), we do not condone the exploitation of people, forcing them to work for free under the guise of high-ROI and the amount of shady detox pills and magic potions these people peddle like it was the holy grail of fat loss.

MLM-affiliation is a hard no, but aside from this, of course you can work for yourself/other gyms/do affiliate marketing/whatever you want.

Camera presence:

Must be confident on camera (most client calls are via Zoom).

Wellness policy:

We focus on what moves the needle based on the vision and nothing else.

Your time is money and we respect your time off by setting things up in a manner conducive to this being implemented.

Parameters for access to you will be set with clients in advance, you choose your hours... Your wellbeing precedes business success.

How your time on vs. off is treated matters!

We can love what we do and still require the basics of time to mentally recharge.

Work ethic is about being "on" during work time, since passion doesn't forgo sleep, it's also work ethic to recharge to show up as our best for clients by shutting our brain off when "off" during personal recharge time un-interrupted.

The solution to most problems is priority setting, not expecting people to not need basic rest...

Be it kids, family obligations, or disabilities:

You have a right to mentally disconnect and have it be guaranteed time that is un-bothered: unless you're a 911/ICU worker, this enables you to work long-term.

Humans need guaranteed wellness as people are not robots.

You'll have a defined scope. You'll have ownership over your part.

There is a set defined amount of calls and check-ins that they get per the payment terms of the program. Guacamole is extra.

If they ever ask for more calls, pricing will be set for additional ones.

All of this said, it is important that you have your own existing practice as this is not to be construed as guaranteed or long-term income.
