AUTHENTICITY

Labels from others sometimes stop our authenticity.

Allowing labels to stall your path is exactly what you do not want to do, this will stop you from leveling up your health, fitness and life goals.

Here are some that I have personally experienced:

TOO AMBITIOUS 

TOO YOUNG 

TOO BOLD 

TOO RECLUSIVE 

TOO OPINIONATED 

TOO MANY GOALS 

TOO OBSESSED 

TOO HEALTH-CONSCIOUS 

TOO CONFIDENT FOR A WOMAN 

TOO FORMAL 

PSA: AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT HARMING OTHERS, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RE-ARRANGE WHO YOU ARE. BE COMFORTABLE BEING YOURSELF.

Sometimes it is your energy, sometimes it is your mere existence... You can never trim yourself down enough for the wrong people. You cannot win the un-winnable.

We have all been conditioned to feel good when others approve of us and we usually feel bad when they don’t. The truth is, when you constantly do what other people approve of or live within their labels of you, you are not living on your own terms.

Unless these are people who you admire in some way or they are being genuinely concerned, learn to discern who has and who does not have relevance in your life when someone starts to question your life choices.

It is okay to care about the thoughts of those you truly care about, but above all, you are the one who actually lives with your decisions. If you are not harming others, you are doing nothing wrong by going with your own intuition when it comes to bigger decisions, (going to school abroad, for example) those who truly care for your will not mind - so long as you are genuinely happy.

THE WORLD NEEDS YOU TO BE YOU! Dimming your shine means not sharing your gifts, wisdom, and talent, exactly what certain people may want you to avoid doing, but trust me, many will support and love you for who you are.

Remember that you are in control of whether or not you allow other people's opinions (limited by their own filters which you cannot control) to change your emotional state. 

Share with me on social media (Twitter: @fitselflove) which ones you have overcome if you would like to, or simply think about the insults and labels you have overcome, or the traits others have tried to put you down for. Also, reminder: if someone has to use your gender, race, age, or other traits to feel superior by making you inferior, they are the one with the problem.

Always remember that you will never be right for the wrong people and places.
